Fall is definitely my favorite season of all. Not just because of the fact that I adamantly dislike the heat in the summer, but tons of new music is released beginning in early October to mid-November. Although I love the typical poppy sounding summer anthems- nothing beats a fresh new album from artists both old and new. With my favorite time for new music just starting up I have created a quick playlist of songs and artists you should be looking out for this fall. Enjoy!
1. Alex and Sierra: This duo, who also happen to be one of the cutest couples on the planet, won the 3rd and final season of The X Factor USA in December of last year. Although they spent months in LA creating the perfect first record, the wait definitely did not disappoint. Although the record was only released in the US on October 7th- the entire album was uploaded to their official youtube channel at the end of September. Many of the songs feature a sort of folky vibe, BUT, the album is not lacking the pop sound you would expect from these two. Alex and Sierra co-wrote a lot of the songs on their debut album and that makes it even the more special. Keep a look out for these two. My favorites off of the record are ‘Here We Go,’ ‘Cheating,’ and ‘Just Kids.’

2. Walk The Moon: Walk The Moon are by far one of my favorite bands to listen to when I’m in the mood to jump around the room screaming along to songs at the top of my lungs. This band knows how to do pop like no one else. With their newest single, ‘Shut Up and Dance’ which was released on September 10th, Walk The Moon proved that they were back and better than ever. With songs like ‘Anna Sun’ and ‘Tightrope,’ Walk The Moon has made their impact in the pop industry and have the ability to explode with this song.

3. Echosmith: A four-piece band made up of siblings!!!! Sibling bands are so great and awesome because I mean who doesn’t aspire to be able to have a band with your siblings? I know I sure did as a kid playing rock band with my younger sibs. However, our rock band band would be absolutely crushed by the Sierotas. Their song ‘Cool Kids’ has taken the radio stations around the US by storm, and this song is only the surface of this band’s potential. With their first studio album Talking Dreams, Echosmith has made their mark.

4. The Tragic Thrills: Were you a fan of Allstar Weekend? I mean, really, who wasn’t when they were 12? Lead singer Zach Porter along with bass player Cameron Quiseng, formerly band members in Allstar Weekend, have re-vamped and created The Tragic Thrills. With Chris Morrison (lead guitar), and Ans Gibson (drums) The Tragic Thrills released their first full album on September 30th. This pop-rock debut was completely self-funded, yet sounds completely authentic and includes catchy lyrics that will stay in your head for days. Definitely give their first album, The Tragic Thrills, a listen and let me know what you think!
