Let's talk fall trends. Fall 2014 is filled with moody heroines and darkness.(Blame it on fashion's ever-growing obsession with Game of Thrones). Look out for these trends this fall!
When I hear "Dark Romance", I think Lana Del Rey.(She might have a little bit of an influence on this trend.) We've seen this throughout SS15, dark tulle ball gowns paired with dark make-up.
Fur
This will always be the most effortlessly luxurious texture that's always fun to play with. Fur, whether real or faux, will always have a place in fashion. Fendi's fun-fur bags certainly made a name for fall 2014.
Coats
Statement overwear is a great transition piece for fall to winter. Bold designs and colours can lift up your fall and winter wardrobe, and help keep you warm at the same time.
Fiery Tones
50 shades of grey? More like 50 shades of red...orange and pink. These tones remind us of the fall leaves and are perfect for the season!
Embellishments
Details are everything. Inventive surface details or a well-executed fabric treatment can make or break a piece. Think bejeweled collars or accent pockets, and if you want to go bigger, think baseball lace, faux alligator skin, and sequins!
Optical Illusions
Twilight Zone anybody? These prints can really trip a person out, and make a fashion statement at the same time. This fall, go beyond the standard stripes and florals, and think psychedelic patterns.
Accessories
Belts, jewelry, handbags, shoes, and hats galore! This fall, accessory trends have gone for a sense of humour. For example, Moschino took McDonalds menu items and transformed them into accessories. Also, look out for chunky heels and platforms this fall! Jewelry makes a strong approach this fall, with metal chokers or velvet statement pieces. Accessories certainly are making a quirky reputation this fall.
