MAKE THIS FALL A PLAID ONE

Ahh, plaid, it’s been around for centuries. Plaid is one of those classic comeback items that you can always trust when you don’t know how to pull together an outfit. There are tons of ways to wear this print without looking like you’ve just stepped out of a 90’s sitcom. From tops to bottoms, there are many ways to incorporate some sort of plaid in your outfit, which is perfect for the fall season. Still don’t know how to fit in plaid into your outfit? I’ll be giving some tips on different pieces to make that perfect day or night outfit!

Full On Plaid

Let’s jump right to it. A plaid dress, which requires little to no effort for an entire outfit. This is a way to fully commit to the print, but making it easily wearable. Add in some gold accessories and black knee-high boots, tie up your hair, a touch of red or nude brown lipstick and you’re good to go!

Business Casual

Want to step into work or school looking classy or work-ready, but still giving off some chill vibes? Pair a plaid midi skirt with a slouchy pastel colour. The length of the skirt gives a more professional look, but the pastel colour softens out the entire outfit to keep it a little bit casual. Add some silver accessories like a long chain necklace, and a white satchel to keep it casual!

Laid Back and Relaxed

When it comes to going out with your friends or running some errands in the afternoon, you always want to keep your look simple but still elegant. A great plaid flannel shirt is the perfect way to do this. Pair this shirt with high-waisted boyfriend jeans. To touch up the look, incorporate black ankle heels, a vibrant coloured clutch, a pair of black sunglasses and a plum lipstick to keep it cool like the weather!

Collegiate Cool

Going to school may be a drag, but looking stylish definitely isn’t! A plaid blazer looks professional, yet casual enough that it doesn’t look like you’re working in an office all the time. To complete the look, wear a dark button up shirt underneath, and some grey jeans. Don’t forget to roll up the sleeves! For accessories, stick with the nudes, from nude shoes to a nude tote!

Downtown Vibes

Night out on the town? A plaid t-shirt is the best look for you! To class up the look, pair it with a black midi skirt. Don’t opt out for all black accessories either! Wear a black bowler hat, black pumps and a black clutch to dress up your look, while still keeping a night time vibe. Also, add in some gold jewelry, if you want to go all out!
