I
know it’s definitely not just me when I say that imagining the first day of
college, one of the thoughts flitting through your mind is, “What the HECK am I
going to wear?”. I’m a college freshman and the weeks leading up to the big day
were hectic, stressful but more fun than ever as I decided to shop for an
entire new wardrobe. I guess you could call it, college closet cleaning?
Anyways, I’ve become a total bargain hunter so much to the point that when I go
shopping it’s terribly hard for me to spend more than twenty dollars for one
item. When I started looking for new clothes I scrounged all of the thrift
shops and the local Buffalo Exchange because I’m just not willing to pay
forty-five dollars for a shirt from Urban Outfitters or American Apparel simply
for the namesake.
But
I had no luck.
However,
after searching endlessly for clothes that were just not turning up I was lucky
enough to be informed of the website, UniDays, while I was browsing through
Missguided’s online shop. If you’re a college student like me and you don’t
know what UniDays is, I suggest you pop open a new tab this very second and
check it out because it’s a hidden gem of the online shopping world. UniDays is
a site that partners with companies and provides discount codes for college
students to be able to afford the fashion-forward clothing from amazing stores
such as ASOS, Missguided, All Saints, and more! They even throw in a little
technology discount for Apple products.
I
guess this is where I say how eternally grateful I am for UniDays because my
college closet cleaning was extremely successful. I was able to restock my entire
wardrobe and spend only two hundred fifty dollars in total to do so and that,
for me, is totally worth it. Not one article of clothing I bought was more than
eighteen dollars (besides the jeans because I’m always willing to splurge for
some quality denim), and I couldn’t be more satisfied with this round of school
shopping.
Moral
of the story: there are always affordable options when it comes to fashion, and
sometimes the best isn’t what costs the most!
