Perhaps this passion is the manifest of my embarrassingly shallow but very real expectation that, any man I date in the future must, and I mean must, dress well. Now, anyone can argue that dressing well is just a matter of taste and fashion is an extension of yourself so wear what makes you happy (and for the record, that's probably my life motto so don't judge me too hard), but I just have a thing for guys who put some effort and thought into their wardrobe-- guys who aren't afraid to find their personal style and rock it to their heart's content.
That said, I decided to put together a little collection of my favorite menswear looks from the 2015 fashion weeks...
RICARDO SECO SS15
Sportswear meets structured trousers. Ricardo Seco marries casual and well put-together, because yes, refined can be "I just woke up and threw on this t-shirt and comfy pants and I look damn good".
ORLEY SS15
One for the preps. Orley mashes pastels and knits with short shorts and cropped pants. I often hear boys say sweaters are "too girly"... If you mean too girly in the sense that girls LOVE when you wear sweaters, then yes, they are entirely too girly. I also just love the socks and sneaks in this collection. Cute.
RICHARD CHAI SS15
Layers. Layers. LAYERS. I am 100 percent invested in a nice tee, cardi and sports coat ensemble. There's something to be said about being able to mesh together three different pieces of clothing and still manage not to look like your crazy next door neighbor with a dire fear of the sun. However, these models are looking a bit hot vampire-esque, if I may so myself.
PERRY ELLIS SS15
Okay, so here we have sportswear, layering, playful pastels AND sweaters. That's all that needs to be said really. Perry Ellis has put together a nearly, probably flawless collection that just screams "look at me, I look good and I really do know what fashion is, I promise" and I've fallen in love. 39 times over.
I would love to ramble more but I'm not even sure guys are going to read this... But if they have, hello, and I hope you enjoyed. I would really like to style you. There are heaps of other menswear looks that I absolutely adored this season but this post would be pages long and I don't have time for that and neither do you, so I'll just link you below to GQ and you can have a look yourself.
