THEY MAKE US STRONG

10/3/14 Raymond James Stadium Tampa, FL
10/5/14 Sun Life Stadium Miami, FL
Your own happiness is the most important thing. And no matter what people think, I hope that you still keep up and look after yourself. And a certain five boys make most girls, and even some boys, around the world happy. Most people think down on those who love this band, but these fans don’t let it get to them. I, even, have a huge admiration for these boys. One Direction, keeps millions of fans happy around the world.
I hope that no matter how much you love them, you’re never embarrassed of it. They are there for you, they have been for the past 4 years, and I don’t see that changing any time soon. We all have grown together, taught each other, and have guided one another. Never be embarrassed about something that you love and is important to you. If it makes you happy, then so be it, even if it happens to be a boy band that some people think is dumb. I will say this over and over until you’re saying it in your sleep, nothing is more important than your own happiness!! Make sure to always look after yourself, never sacrifice anything you love just for the sake of looking cooler. Embrace who you are! Through these boys, you have opened up and found new chapters within your life.
I recently attended two of their shows for their Where We Are tour, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! They have so much love for their fans and vice versa. The energy in the whole stadium was mind blowing, I’m sure it even shook during a few songs. During “Little Things”, Niall always has the fans finish off his solo with “You Sing!!” and the fans always sing “love you!” back to him. At the end of the next line of the song, they told the fans “sing it!” and the line was “it’s you they add up to” and then the boys said “louder!” with the next line being “and I’m in love with you”, finally the boys said “scream it!” and the last line, where everyone in the stadium screamed, “and all your little things!!”  I’ve never felt so much energy from everyone like that before. The smile on the boys’ faces was so heartwarming as well after that.
When you’re in a stadium that is full of people who have the same amount of energy and passion for one specific thing, it’s very powerful. It’s as if you’re all connected, and that is an amazing feeling. There are friends all around you, you could turn to the total stranger next to you and have one of the best moments of your life. All thanks to those five boys. In fact, the first show I went to I was actually sitting alone, scared at first, but then later made a new friend with whom I jammed out to the boys with. I’m so grateful for having a love for a band that can do this for me.
Standing in the seats, closing my eyes, and just feeling the vibrations of my surroundings was such a surreal feeling. I honestly felt like I was home, surrounded by fellow peers, all being able to witness our idols, our heroes. Lives are saved thanks to these boys, not only by their actions, but with their music. They sing about things that we teens don’t normally get told. It warms our hearts and makes us feel better. We are always able to listen to the music and hear their voices and it just lifts us up. They’re just normal, goofy, teenage boys up on that stage and I think that’s what the key factor here is. They don’t try too hard to be cookie cutter perfect! So when you have these boys singing about love for us and positive tunes, it makes the perfect formula.
At the second show I attended, during their song, Moments, my friends and I had all held hands and just swayed back and forth, singing along. We had tears running down our faces, because these were our boys. Our boys for about four years and they’ve come such a long way. They’re so grateful for us and we are of them. Even if we are just a face in the crowd and the boys don’t know us personally, we all know how much they love us. Their music has made so many of us friends and brought us together, we all share a special, strong bond. Just thinking about if any one of us had never listened to them, then we would be where we are today. And that’s a family, a strong family.
