A FEW PLAYLISTS TO PUT YOUR MIND AT REST

Ever feel down on yourself and just totally out of it? Well, my advice would be to go into your room, put on your comfiest pair of pajama pants and blast some of your favorite tunes! Having your room resonating with your favorite songs while you're dancing around and singing at the top of your lungs can help relieve some of the stress that you may have built up. Just always remember that the people you listen to through your speakers will always be there for you. They make music just for you. Listen to the people who put you in your happy place. Now I normally listen to a good mix of genres, so some songs might not mesh well with each other, but I just like to listen to what I can jam to!

I have a little playlist that I like to listen to when I'm feeling a little down in the dumps:
1. San Francisco - The Mowgli's
2. Be OK – Ingrid Micahelson
3.  Itchin On a Photograph - Grouplove
4.  The Middle - Jimmy Eat World
5.  Kids - MGMT
6.  Here It Goes Again - OK Go
7.  I Bet My Life - Imagine Dragons
8.  Stolen Dance - Milky Chance
9. Blank Space – Taylor Swift
10. Fences - Paramore
11. Fall In Love – Phantogram
12. Pale Black Eye – Manchester Orchestra
13. Pour Some Sugar On Me – Def Leppard
14. Cecilia – Simon and Garfunkle
15. Inferno – Sir Sly ft. Lizzy Plapinger

Remember, this is your life, make it what you can. Take it by the horns and enjoy what you really want to. Always, always, always do the things that make you truly happy. The things that really make you want to enjoy life and endure everything that comes with it.

If your room isn’t someplace that you want to be, then take a nice bike ride and listen to some calming, yet happy songs. Sometimes that’s a better solution than loud pop music, even though dancing around like you are crazy can be really fun. At the end of your bike ride, find a place to sit in the grass, lie down and admire Mother Nature, or just write in a journal.

A soothing playlist for me would probably consist of these songs:

    1. Banana Pancakes – Jack Johnson
2. Gods Bathroom Floor – Atmosphere
3.Viking Hearts – Miniature
4. Tigers Eyes Closed – The Narrative
5. Bloom – Paper
6. KitesDream – Priscilla Ahn
7. Such Great Heights – Postal Service
8. Sweet Disposition – Temper Trap
9. Afterlife (cover) – Sir Sly
10. Lost In Time – Whitley
11. You Got What I Need – Joshua Radin
12. 3 Rounds and a Sound - Blind Pilot
13. Soul Suckers – Amos Lee
14. Hercules – Guster
15. Oh – Dave Matthews Band

No matter where you are, you can always shut out the world and listen to your favorite songs. Never let someone else bring you down, try your best to just brush it off. And I know that it’s easier said than done, but if you try your hardest and just block it out with music, I know you can do it. Music is so important to the world, it lifts people up, it can bring people together, it can motivate, and so much more. Music helps.
