THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER

Seven amazing books turned into eight fantastic films. And from these fantastic films, London is lucky enough to have its own magical Harry Potter World. The Harry Potter Studios include the props, sets and costumes use in all 8 movies.

I was lucky enough to attend Harry Potter World with my school (as a media student) and found myself lost for words. As you enter the studios, the walls are covered in photos of some of the main characters and also some props floating above your heads from the Weasley's flying car and suitcase. Whilst standing in line, you pass by Harry's Under Stair Bedroom which includes items such as shoes, cases and the bed covers that you can see in the films. The line then goes into the cinema room where you get to watch all 8 Harry Potter films in twenty minutes. The cinema screen then lifts and you stand amazed by the height of the Great Hall Door which is stood before you. With a push of the door, you then enter the magical Great Hall and the adventure goes on from there.

MUSIC IS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

Social media is extremely popular amongst our generation, as is becoming close with people that you meet on social media. People from all over the world can bond over liking the same TV shows, movies, books, bands, and so much more. For me, it’s a band that brought me to my closest friends. I mean this in the least cheesiest way possible, but The Vamps have actually changed my life. The Vamps are a British acoustic indie/pop band (well their old music and covers are acoustic indie/pop anyway, but that’s a completely different story) that started out on YouTube.

LONGLEAT ZOO

Ever since I was a baby, visiting the zoo was always my favourite thing to do with my family. Now I'm 16 and I still love the zoo. On my family holiday this summer, my family and I went to Longleat Zoo, a place where we have been many times before, but we love so much. My favourite thing about Longleat is that you get to go on a safari in the comfort of your own car, driving around the different animal enclosures to get up and close with all the animals.

ALL TOWERED UP

I recently spent a week in England to relax before school starts up again. (My dad is from England and my entire family resides there so I have been quite a few times).
For two months, Buckingham Palace had three exhibits on display so my aunt, mother, sisters and I took the opportunity to go and visit! We spent the day at the Queen’s gallery, the Royal Mews, and the State Rooms where they also had a childhood exhibit for the first time. It’s extremely magnificent when you walk in and I couldn’t help but wonder, how could anyone possibly live with that many rooms?
