FALLING IN LOVE WITH AUTUMNAL TUNES

When I think about autumn, I think about good music. Both mentally and physically, it makes you feel. The warm touch of snuggling in bed on a cold, autumn night is the same feeling you get when the words of a song harmonize with your reality.

The thrilling sensation of feeling the brisk air smack against your bare cheeks is the same as the impression the tune of a song has when it makes the hair on your arms stand up.

Good music and gentle weather can bring can overwhelm you with nostalgia. Music is supposed to make you feel just as powerful as the weather. Ben Howard, the talented English singer-songwriter, brought me immense feelings with his second, ten-track album, I Forget Where We Were.

FALLING FOR NEW TUNES

Fall is definitely my favorite season of all. Not just because of the fact that I adamantly dislike the heat in the summer, but tons of new music is released beginning in early October to mid-November. Although I love the typical poppy sounding summer anthems- nothing beats a fresh new album from artists both old and new. With my favorite time for new music just starting up I have created a quick playlist of songs and artists you should be looking out for this fall. Enjoy!

Although creativity can be something to monetarily gain from, it should first and foremost be valued as a communicative outlet. If you agree with me on that and have not yet heard of the band Weezer, I am shaking my head in disapproval and urging you to go listen to them right this instant.

SURPRISE U2 ALBUM: SONGS OF INNOCENCE

Since before I can even remember, I’ve loved a single band above the rest. Be it the constant stream of live concert videos playing on my families television, or the fact it was said band’s concert that left me bitten by the concert bug, they’ve always blown me out of the water with the things they do. And this week, U2 held up to their extraordinary standard of work.
