Throughout our lives we go through a fair amount of change. Sometimes the change is good, sometimes the change is bad. Sometimes people come into our lives and stay, sometimes people come into our lives then leave. As we grow, we become closer to some people than we do others. This is how we meet our “best friends”. Sometimes we have more than one, sometimes we only have one, friend or family, male or female, at some stage in our lives we will have experienced the relationship of a bestfriend. Some people believe that there are 6 keys to having a great relationship: friendship, freedom, trust, honesty, understanding and communication. All are important in any relationship but sometimes these key factors get broken or mistreated. However, we find a way to piece ourselves back together until next time.

WITH CHANGE COMES A FRIEND
October 14, 2014
NO DATE, NO KISS, NO PROBLEM
I am a seventeen year old girl who has never been asked to homecoming, never had a boyfriend, and to top off my resume, never been kissed. I’m as rare as they come, call me a unicorn if you’d like. But I’m writing this in order to tell you that I am perfectly okay with it.
Do you remember when you used to say that your first kiss was going to be this iconic moment in your life and you tried so hard to plan it to be the perfect moment? Now…how did that work out for you?
Your first kiss was probably in middle school, and even more disappointing, probably AT your middle school. Well, I still have that dream alive. I have the opportunity to change that for myself because I was looked upon as undesirable in middle school. Which is ridiculous because who wouldn’t want to date the thirteen year old me? People look back at their first kisses and wonder why they didn’t share it with someone they care about. Kisses are weird in general, because it will always be more special to one person than it is to the other. For example, whenever the day comes that I do kiss someone, it will be nothing to the guy I kiss other than just another girl and to me, it will be an important memory.
I’m not sure when it became a social standard to always have to be asked to school dances. I also don’t know when every girl who hadn’t been in a relationship was looked down upon as if they were a different species. The way a girl feels about herself in social standing should not be based on the people she is involved with.

IT ALL STARTED WITH SCIENCE
Every group of friends has a story of how their friendship was born. In some cases they started out as mortal enemies; others hit it off right away. Sometimes, it all began with a worm.

TAKE IT AS IT IS: SCHOOL, FRIENDS & THE FUTURE
As fall is rapidly approaching, students all over North America are returning to their busy school lives. Recent high school graduates are realizing how easy they had it in high school, and seniors can’t wait to get out of that very place. For those of you who are in my position - recently graduated and yet to enroll in post secondary, you’re probably unsure of what to do next, and feeling remotely frightened by your sudden freedom.I was so excited to have a year to ‘figure my life out’, while working and traveling, that I didn’t even think of how things could have played out. Now, not even a week into September, I can’t help but feel like I’m missing out on something huge. I’ll never get the opportunity to move into dorms for the first time with my friends, nor will I get to go to uni parties. Sure, going to school is about learning, but I feel as if I’m missing out on the social part more than anything else. This now leaves me questioning, as my friends trickle off and leave me one by one, was taking a year off really a good choice?

BACK TO SCHOOL
It's almost that time again! It's time to go back to school! Although most of you may have started school already, others (like me) still have about a week to go. If you're like me, you've probably been thinking that same question, that DREADFUL question, WHAT DO I WEAR?! We've all been there. In today's article, I'll be giving you some back to school tips on how to get back to school in style (as lame as that sounds).
